At 10a.m, April 4, 2014, Cherrie Zhu, the Professor of Business School of Monash University---a Partnership University Of Sino-Australia Cooperative Education Program in our school, and a member of Group of Eight (Go8) was invited to carry out a wonderful introduction and exchange meeting in Administration Building115. This meeting was hosted by Dongbo GAO, the deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Zhu made a brief introduction about her learning and work experience. Prof. Zhu studied in the Business School of Monash University for her MBA in 1989, and then found her job as a teacher of this university in 1992.
Under the friendly atmosphere, Prof. Zhu made a brief introduction about Monash University, which is a member of Group of Eight (Go8), and ranks 61st in 2012 global QS. Its Business disciplines are well-known in Go8,and it is the only university winning “Triple crown” accreditation by the three major global business school accreditation bodies---AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA among Go8.
In order to make students have a better understanding of Monash University, Prof. Zhu showed some photos about life and study in this university. Her fluent bilingual interpretation attracted everyone.
In the following one hour’s exchange, Professor Zhu not only introduced course arrangement in Monash University to students of Sino-Australia Program, but also offered some critical suggestions according to different majors of these students. The atmosphere there was animated and friendly.
The last senssion of this meeting was Question & Answer. With aspiration for Monash University, all the students from Business School have learned a lot by asking some questions, which were carefully answered by Prof.Zhu and Director Gao.
Finally, with heated discussions, the meeting came to the end. This meeting provides students of Business School with a quick way to the top famous university, and students also have benefited a lot from it.
