International Summit Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy 2015 and 9th China Engineering Management Forum took place on May 16-17, 2015. This forum was jointly organized by Chinese Academy of Engineering and Guangzhou Municipal Government. A number of academician and professors participated the opening ceremony in this forum, including President of the Chinese Academic of Engineering Ji Zhou, Vice-President of the Chinese Academic of Engineering Delong Xu, Guangdong provincial standing committee and secretary of Guangzhou municipal party committee mayor Xuefeng Ren, Deputy secretary of Guangzhou municipal party committee and Jianhua Chen and so on. The forum attracted more than 500 scholars and experts including 34 academicians from China and abroad.
As the special guest of this forum, Prof. Xiaohong Chen made a speech entitled “Theoretic Exploration and Practice of Resource -conserving & Environment-friendly Engineering Management”. She gave a comprehensive report on the realistic background, theoretic exploration and practical exploration of resource -conserving & environment-friendly engineering management.
On May 17, Prof. Chen was invited to co-host the session entitled “New-type Urbanization and Ecological Civilization Construction” with academician of the Chinese Academic of Engineering, Prof. Zhihuan Fu and Prof. Jin Chen from Tsinghua University.
International Summit Forum on Engineering Science has been developing rapidly in these years and hitting the record in participants and paper submission, which reflect the promising and thriving future of China Engineering Management.
