On April 10, 2019, professor Ren Sheng-gang, party secretary of Central South University Business School, faculty and students of the Business School, carried out investigation and research on poverty alleviation in Jianghua county. The main purpose of this trip is to discuss the county high-tech industry development planning study program and entrepreneurship training program, to further discuss strategic cooperation plan on setting up an innovative and entrepreneurial social practice base, and to investigate the poverty alleviation work and industry development in Changsha village, Dayu town.
At 2:30 p.m. on April 10, a delegation from the Business School of Central South University participated in the "seminar on targeted poverty alleviation in Jianghua county". Luo Jianhua, party secretary of Jianghua county, and Long Feifeng, county head, on behalf of 540,000 Jianghua residents, thanked Central South University for its active and effective support and assistance over the past few years.The two sides also made clear two specific tasks at the meeting: first, Central South University will directly invest 2 million yuan in poverty alleviation fund to Jianghua county for its work in education, medical care, culture and other fields, so as to boost rural revitalization and high-quality development. Second, the two sides should jointly build the industry-university-research cooperation base of Central South University-Jianghua High-tech Industry Development Zone, so as to make full use of the advantages of Central South University in scientific research and talents, promote the transformation and development of Jianghua High-tech Industry Development Zone, and enhance its enterprise innovation and service capacity of local economic construction.
At 4:00 p.m. on October 10, the Business School of Central South University participated in the symposium on "Central South University Supporting the Construction of High-tech Zone in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County". At the symposium, Ren Shenggang, party secretary of the Business School, put forward that: first, a comprehensive development plan for the park should be formulated. The scientific research teams of the Business School will conduct all-round cooperation with the high-tech industrial park, carry out in-depth research on enterprises, understand the real needs of enterprises, and provide accurate support modules for enterprises. Second, a good job in personnel training should be done. With the help of the powerful faculty of Business School, a new generation of managers and managerial talents at all levels who are capable of high performance, management knowledge, courage and leadership could be trained. Third, anti-poverty e-commerce platforms should be further improved. With the help of more platforms to display the products of Jianghua, the Yao ethic characteristic brand of Jianghua county should be enhanced to attract more customers. Fourth, qualified personnel should be reserved and delivered. Actions like negotiating with enterprises to let more students enter enterprises for internship, and establish a special talent training plan to achieve a win-win situation between the university and the enterprise should also be carried out.
