Arkalgud Ramaprasad(Ram) is Professor Emeritus of Information and Decision Sciences at University of Illinois at Chicago. His areas of research interest include Ontological Meta-Analysis and Synthesis, Ontological Analysis and Design, e-Health, Knowledge Management, Strategic Planning for Higher Education, Management of Information, Health Care Informatics. He has published over 50 peer reviewed articles, several in top journals such asManagement Science, Omega: International Journal of Management Science, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Systems, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Behavioral Science.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge-Based Systems, Elsevier of impact factor (4.529) for 2016. He is vice president of International Society of Applied Intelligence, and also associate Editor-in-chief of Applied Intelligence Journal (Springer). He has given many keynotes in many prestigious international conferences on intelligent system and subjective intelligence. He headed a number of projects including Intelligent HCI, a project related to Mental Cloning as an intelligent user interface between human user and computers and SCOPE project on Virtual Doctor Systems for medical applications.

Dongling XU is a Professor in Decision Sciences and Systems at the University of Manchester. Her current research interests are in the areas of multiple attribute decision analysis under uncertainties, decision theory, utility theory, optimization, and their applications in performance assessment for decision making, including supplier selection, policy impact assessment, environmental impact assessment, sustainability management, and consumer preference identification. She has published more than 100 articles in famous international Journals.

Xin CHEN is a professor, an Abel Bliss Faculty Scholar and the Jerry S. Dobrovolny Faculty Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interest lies in optimization, data analytics, revenue management and supply chain management. He received the Informs revenue management and pricing section prize in 2009. He is the coauthor of the book “The Logic of Logistics: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (Second Edition, 2005, & Third Edition, 2014)”, and serving as an associate editor of several journals includingOperations Research, Management Science, Mathematics of Operation Research and Production and Operations Management.

Recent years witness phenomenal growth of active academic research on revenue management and successful deployments of innovative revenue management strategies in a variety of industries. In this talk, He will present a brief overview of this fascinating research area. He will focus on several key models including network capacity allocation problems and dynamic pricing problems with reference price effects, and highlight the challenges and opportunities.
